A little kindness is still kindness. We ask for just ₹1.
Our promise

A little kindness.
A lot of clarity.

Your rupee is small. Your trust is not. Here is how giving works on DonateSmile, what the numbers mean, and what you can expect to see.

The shortest route to help

From you.
To the organisation.

Scan the current cause’s organisation QR using your UPI app. Check the recipient’s name, enter ₹1 and complete the payment there.

DonateSmile shares the cause and QR. We do not receive, hold or process your donation.

What stays clear

A story you can understand.
An update you can date.

One current cause.

Giving opens for one cause at a time. Upcoming causes are previews. Completed causes remain available to read, with giving closed.

Dated, manual figures.

The admin enters the amount after verifying the collection and records when it was checked. “Last verified” is that date and time, not a live payment feed.

Progress with context.

A target describes the need. An estimated completion date is a plan, not a guarantee. Rupees collected are not a count of unique donors.

Room for the follow-through.

Each cause page has an updates and proof section for published photos, documents and links. A completed cause can include a completion note. If nothing has been published yet, we say so.

Private on this website

No donor form. No public donor list.

We don’t ask for your name, phone number, email or payment screenshot to give. DonateSmile has no donor account or payment confirmation step.

That privacy applies to this website. UPI and banks keep their normal transaction records, and the receiving organisation may see payment details provided by its bank or UPI service. This is not anonymous banking.

A few practical things

Before you give

A minute of clarity, so the next step feels simple.

Is it really just ₹1?

Yes. Please give only ₹1 to the current cause. The idea is for many people to participate with the same small amount. You can also help by sharing the story.

How do I use the QR on the same phone?

Open the QR image from the current cause page and save it to your phone. In your UPI app, use its option to scan an image from your gallery. Check the recipient’s name and amount before confirming.

Will the collection change as soon as I pay?

No. DonateSmile does not receive automatic payment confirmations. The admin updates the published collection manually after verification. Check the “Last verified” date beside the amount; your bank or UPI app is where you check your own payment status.

Does DonateSmile know that I donated?

This website has no donor registration, payment tracking or screenshot submission. The payment takes place in your UPI app, directly with the organisation. Your bank, UPI provider and the recipient may retain their usual payment details.

What if the QR doesn’t load or a payment fails?

If the QR is unavailable, come back later. If a payment fails or stays pending, check your UPI app or bank for its status before trying again. DonateSmile cannot confirm, reverse or resolve a bank transaction.

Where can I see what happened to a cause?

Open its cause page and look for “Updates, with something to show.” Published proof and completion notes stay with that story. A missing update is shown clearly; we do not fill the gap with sample results.

Kindness begins with understanding

Take a moment. Read the story.

Give your ₹1 only when you feel ready.
